This indicator, updated daily, gives the level of risk for forest fires. Some of the accommodation sites have facilities allowing open fires when the level of risk is low or moderate. The international Appalachian trail crosses three sections on the map of the SOPFEU territory division.

 

Matane, Chic-Choc: most of the Matapedia Valley, all of the wildlife reserve of

Matane, Parc national de la Gaspésie, Haute-Gaspésie and part of the Côte-de-Gaspé are found in this section.

 

Baie-des-chaleurs: the southern part of the Matapedia Valley is in this section of the SOPFEU map.

 

Gaspé: a large part of the Côte-de-Gaspé as well as the Forillon National Park of Canada are covered.
