Thank you Isabelle
Subject: Death notice, responsible for customer service.
A word from the management
The administrators and the director of the Sentier international des Appalaches - Québec (SIA-QC), inform you of this sad news of the death of Mrs. Isabelle Paquet, employee responsible for customer service for more than 8 years, at the Center hospitalier de Matane on February 17, 2021, at the age of 41.
The praise for the quality of her work is directly linked to our success and she will have greatly contributed to the process of perpetuating the SIA-QC. A common goal that we shared with our love for the Gaspé.
We are heartbroken by this sudden departure and words fail to express how much we appreciated his presence.
We will try to live up to your kindness and your dedication. Thank you for everything.
We offer our condolences to her spouse, Sylvain Migneault and her daughter-in-law Audrey Gagnon Migneault, as well as to all her relatives.
On behalf of the IAT-QC team, goodbye, Isabelle.

Your departure upsets us, you have been in our team for a long time and you were greatly appreciated by all.
Your dedication to your work and the quality of it was truly exceptional. Always ready to help customers and always smiling in response to our requests. I have fond memories of you dear colleague. Rest in peace and watch over your loved ones from above. You were shining on earth now you are shining like a star in the sky.
I send all my love to your family to soothe their pain at the loss of such a great woman.

Word from the community
The tribute of a woman with a big heart
On behalf of the hikers of the international trail of Appalaches-Qc.
Isabelle was neither more nor less than a resource for us, dozens, see hundreds of hikers from all over Quebec! She had a big impact on a lot of people. But before I pay her this tribute, let me tell you about the amazing woman she was.
“SIA and the hiking world are losing a great person. Isabelle's commitment to making the trail experience as enjoyable as possible was evident. Thank you for the support offered again recently in preparation for my next adventure! "
- Jean-Sébastien Girard
For those who would not have known him, Isabelle was in charge of the customer service of the SIA. She was the one who answered all our questions and made the reservations.
Isabelle was really loved by the IAT community since she was really generous with her time and above all, attentive to our needs. Besides, she loved us very much, us “her little hikers”. She really wanted our best.
“Isabelle even answered my emails at midnight at night! Without it, my AIS would not have been so well prepared! "
- Karine Brouillette
Isabelle was, without exaggeration, our beacon.
Isabelle, was the beacon that illuminates the path of people. E-mail to answer our questions or call to help us with our reservations, it is thanks to her that we have built, stone by stone, our long hike. The importance she has had in the success, not only of the people who have completed the entire trail, but also of the people who have done sections successfully, is greatly measurable. She was our light in times of uncertainty as much in the preparation of the weeks before the start as on the trail once left.
“Caring, generous investor of her time. I appreciated all communications with
she. "
- Hélène Hamel
His departure was a great shock to many and we are wholeheartedly with his family. To many, she was like a hiking mom:
“Very generous with her time, Isabelle was a great pillar of the SIA-Qc community. She will remain in our hearts and walk with us on the path for a long time to come. "
- Alexiane Popo Huard
“Isabelle was the guardian angel of SIA. She will now watch over us from the height of her sky. "
- Odette Harrisson
“As we often say when we meet help on the trails, Isabelle was the“ Hiker's Angel ”of SIA-Qc. "
- Eddy Pellerin
“Her soft voice still echoes in my head. She was very caring and invested in her work. She was the angel of the IAT hikers during her lifetime ... and after. Thanks Isabelle. "
- Karole Bergeron
" Too young! No word! Too sad! We will miss you! This year let's walk for it! "
- Denis Chassé
“Smile, generosity, welcome and good humor with each exchange! Priceless! "
- Sylvie Tardif
" I am upset. I spoke to him a few days before he passed away. She was nice, took the time to answer all the questions, all the concerns ... We laughed together. I felt like I was talking to a great “boyfriend”! And this, even if I did not know her. "
- Valerie MC
" Sad news. Very good person. "
- Charles Whear
“She was so caring and although we did not meet in person I am very sad to hear this news. I will keep fond memories of her. I send you good thoughts. "
- Charles Lapointe
“I met Isabelle during my introductory long hike training. Last year for the preparation of my 1st section of the SIA she was of such a precious help, always there to answer our questions. She seemed passionate about her work and about SIA. Until recently she reserved my seats for me for this year and gave me other valuable advice. Isabelle was an exceptional SIA ambassador and I believe she will remain a guardian angel for all SIA walkers. She will be missed. "
- Rejanne Saunois
“I am starting TA on Monday February 22. I have on my bag the AIS label that Isabelle sent me. It was a model of community engagement, as we all need it now and in the future. Your image and your breath accompany us. "
- Alain Plouffe
Isabelle, know that we are all very saddened by your sudden departure. Many will work for you this year. From the top of the Gaspé mountains to the banks of the St. Lawrence River, you will be with us. We will look skyward in your honor! Continue to guide us, like a star, like a lighthouse, as you have done so well.
Thank you for everything.
